Game Completion Competition: EverydayChris' Week 2 Blog

Well Well Well?. we meet again. ?I will try to make this longer since some people decided to get their panties in a bunch the last time we met at this juncture, of all junctures. I mean I don?t think I need to explain much because quite honestly I am owning all that exists. ?I am like the Galactus of this gaming competition. ?The World Eater. ?However unlike the first week I didn?t beat anything, but i am building up quite the?momentum?as I am racking in a significant amount of time played. ?I added on about four more hours of Rayman: Origins, but I felt I needed a bit of a break from that game. ?It is a really good game and a lot of fun with a friend, but I felt I was seeing too much of the floating head and hands of Rayman for my liking.

So I moved on to Bastion which quite honestly I could have completed last week. ?I played enough of it to be close to the end but after scoping the achievements, I thought to myself let me give it one last hurrah where I really try to obtain some of the harder achievements,?such?as possibly leveling several weapons to as far?of?a level as I can. ?I may even go as far as searching the interwebs to see when the game actually ends so that I won?t accidentally beat the game. ?I have been wanting to play Bastion for quite some time and I was elated to have purchased it during the steam summer sale. ?A great game, but it has a few flaws none to intrusive to the experience. ?For example the story is a little off to me I?m not quite as engaged as I was with it at the beginning.

Another possible achievement whore target for me is Saints Row The Third. ?I?ve?clocked in about five hours into that game, and while it is good ol? Saints Row fun, I?m a little disappointed in it. ?I find myself having almost no interest in what is going on in the story. ?I think they take things a little too far when it comes to the over the top-ness. ?It?s also lamentable that i can?t play this game co-op with a buddy sitting next to me. ?Oh well, at least I get to spend my time?listening?to podcasts as i play it.

That pretty much?concludes?my video game action for the week, I felt I could have put even more time into the competition, but life is rearing its ugly head and?making?me rather busy. ?This week, expect some major time to be put into Darksiders 2. I?m excited for it. ?Also, I almost forgot I declared Assassins Creed Brotherhood. That game may come back to haunt me.
